Maxion Wheels is one of the world's largest steel and aluminum wheel manufacturers, producing stamped-and-welded steel wheels widely used on base trims, commercial vehicles, and compact spares where cost and durability outweigh the weight savings of alloy. A steel wheel is formed from two stamped steel discs — the rim well and the center disc — welded together, offering high impact resistance and easier roadside repair (straightening) compared to cast alloy, though at a weight penalty of roughly 20–30% versus an equivalent aluminum wheel.
