Description

Continental is among the tire manufacturers supplying original-equipment compact "space-saver" spare tires, a smaller-diameter, narrower tire mounted on a lightweight steel wheel and intended only for temporary use after a puncture. Compact spares are typically speed-limited to around 50 mph and carry an explicit mileage/duration limitation printed on the sidewall, since their reduced tread width, contact patch, and structure are not designed for sustained driving, cornering loads, or long-term wear.
