Description

Grupo Antolin is also one of the largest global suppliers of headliners, producing the molded substrate that forms the vehicle's interior roof structure and houses sun visor mounts, grab handles, dome lights, and — on many vehicles — curtain airbag deployment channels. The substrate is typically a lightweight fiberglass or polyurethane-foam composite laminated with a fabric or suede-like face material, molded to the roof's compound curves in a single heated press operation. Because the curtain airbag deploys along a seam in the headliner on most modern vehicles, any headliner that has been through an airbag deployment must be replaced as a full unit.
