Description

Flex-N-Gate is one of the largest North American suppliers of bumper systems and fascias, molding the visible plastic bumper cover along with the underlying energy-absorbing foam and steel or aluminum reinforcement bar as an integrated system for OEM assembly lines. The cover itself is typically injection-molded from thermoplastic olefin (TPO) or polypropylene, chosen for its flexibility and ability to survive minor impacts without cracking, and is molded with cutouts for fog lights, parking sensors, tow hooks, and — on many current vehicles — the openings or brackets needed for forward-facing radar and camera modules used by driver-assist systems. Because those sensor and structural mounting points are specific to each model, generation, and trim, bumper covers are not interchangeable even within the same vehicle nameplate across facelift years.
