Description

Yanfeng is a joint venture between Huayu Automotive Systems and (formerly) Adient, and ranks among the largest interior-systems suppliers globally, with instrument panels as one of its core product lines. The dashboard is a single large injection-molded structure that houses the HVAC distribution ducts, wiring harness routing, airbag deployment chute, and mounting points for the instrument cluster, infotainment unit, and glovebox. Surface finish ranges from hard, textured ABS/PP on economy trims to soft-touch TPO or PU-skinned foam-backed panels on higher trims, sometimes with decorative inserts (wood-grain, aluminum, piano black) inserted during a secondary in-mold or post-mold process. Because the passenger-side airbag chute is molded into the panel, replacement panels are trim- and market-specific and cannot be interchanged across airbag configurations without recertification.
